I’m thankful that life is slowing down and I can take a moment to appreciate everything. I have a lot to be grateful for.
Hey! Hello. It’s been awhile.
It’s been nearly 10 months since my last letter in which I wrote about my priorities for this year.
As I said I would be, I’ve been focusing on commercial work and I’ve finally wrapped up the busiest summer of my life. And I’m grateful for that. Along with work, I have also gone through the biggest shift of my life. And now that things are slowing down I have the time to get back to the thing that I want to do the most: writing.
Recently, I’ve started to speak out loud the things that I’m grateful for. I guess you could call it a prayer or a verbal meditation. I’ve been do it after physical exercise in the morning so in a way it’s kind of like a mental exercise. I think there is a lot of power in speaking out loud our thankfulness. More and more I understand the power of our words, and the more you speak positive words the more you will train yourself to see and think more positively which I find leads to having more positive things happen in your life. But maybe there is more to it?
Spoken out loud our words are vibrational energy. That’s how sound is made. Your voice is created through the vibration of your vocal cords.
There are stories of science experiments that kids and scientists do with plants. They would speak positive words to one plant and the plant would be healthy and alive, and they would speak negative words to another plant and that plant would be sick and withering. Plants don’t hear the words, but they do feel the energetic vibration of the words.
If our words can affect plants, then just think about how our words affect ourselves and the world around us.
So I encourage you to speak positively to yourself, and since this is the weekend to be thankful, focus on the positive things in your life that you are thankful for and let the universe hear it.
Here are some of the things that I say I’m thankful for:
I’m thankful for all the days I get to work on exciting commercial projects.
I’m thankful for all the days I get to rest.
I’m thankful for all the sunny days.
I’m thankful for the days we get rain.
I’m thankful for the experiences I’ve had with friends.
I’m thankful for the time I get to be an introvert.
I’m thankful for the time to write.
I’m thankful for my family.
I’m thankful for this new chapter of my life that I’m beginning.
More soon.
What are you thankful for?
