Happy Thanksgiving! It has become a tradition for me to watch this video about gratitude every year on Thanksgiving. It is a video full of beauty in both words and imagery. Every time I watch it, I feel more appreciation for life and the world we get to experience.

It’s the little things that are harder to be consciously grateful for but they shouldn’t be taken for granted. Things like the extra sunshine we’ve been getting before Fall really comes and the people who work to make the luxuries of civilizations possible such as getting a smoothie at a cafe.

The one big thing that I’m really thankful for, and that is very current to this weekend, is that my short film “How Are You?” screened at the Canadian International Comedy Film Festival last night!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the festival in Winnipeg but just to know that people really liked my film and selected it to show to more people is a great gift. What made it extra special is that I thought I had struck out on all the festivals that I had submitted to so I decided to upload the film on to Youtube on June 1, but then 30 days later I was wonderfully surprised to find out that there was one last film festival that had not got back to me and when I did hear from them it was with the amazing news that they had selected my film!

If you haven’t watched “How Are You?” yet, then here it is! Now it has the laurels!

Also, a little over a month ago I released my “We Need Change” video. The video is an accumulation of 10 years of reading, learning and growing and it’s not an exaggeration to say I poured my soul into this video. Frankly, it hasn’t blasted off into becoming a viral sensation like I had hoped it would, but I’ve got more positive responses on this video than I’ve ever had on any of my projects which I really appreciate and I know some people have been sharing it on social media. So I give thanks to the people who have been giving their love and support!
