Do you ever contemplate how much time you have to do what you want to do in life? Was there a year when you realized you didn’t have as much time as you thought you had?

When I was 20 I thought I had all the time in the world.

Then suddenly I was turning 30.

As I approached my 30th birthday, I felt the need to create something. I started out shooting a regular vlog about turning 30, but then it turned into this.

It was less than a week before my birthday when I got the inspiration to make the vlog like a silent film. The final piece of the movie was the dream scene which I wasn't able to film until over a month after my birthday.

I love silent films. Especially Charlie Chaplin.

If you’ve seen some of my other films you may have noticed how I’ve used silent film storytelling before, but I’ve always wanted to make a silent film in the old school style. This movie happened to become the perfect project to do it.

If Charlie Chaplin made a vlog for Youtube, maybe it would be something like this.
