How Much Must We Try Before We Succeed? - New Film Reel Released!
I released my new film reel on Youtube!
Did you know that Quentin Tarantino failed to make a movie twice before he finally succeeded to make his film Reservoir Dogs?
His first film never got released because the lead actor in it destroyed the film. There’s a more dramatic story there if you want to look into it.
His second film never got completed because Tarantino was unsatisfied with the footage he shot. This story is so undramatic that when a false story went out that the film had been lost in a fire Tarantino chose not to refute the story because he thought it was more interesting.
The filmmaker who many people say is a genius kept failing for eight years.
Then a few people noticed Tarantino was a good writer and he got people interested to fund the film that would become his first success - Reservoir Dogs.
If you truly want to do something you have to keep on trying. As you keep trying you keep getting better until hopefully you reach the day when people can’t help but notice how good you are and then you find success.
Most people won’t even try or they won’t try enough.
Before giving up, ask yourself how much have you tried?
Twelve years of filmmaking. That’s what my new film reel represents.
Over the years I have created six film reels before this one and uploaded them to Youtube but they have all been deleted because I was never really proud of my work in the past. With this new film reel though, I’d like to think that I finally have the work that shows how good I am and that the success I’ve been striving for will soon come. Or I’m just going to keep on trying and keep on getting better.
Regardless of how much more I need to try, having a reel that shows what I'm capable of gives me a lot of confidence going forward and I’m excited for all the next projects I’m going to make!
Got a bunch of new videos coming out in the next month!
